Located on the bank of river Parvati, Manikaran is situated northeast of Bhuntar in Kullu district. At an altitude of 1760mts above sea level, Manikaran is an extension of the beautiful valleys of the Manali and Kullu where you experience hot springs and pilgrim centres. As a prominent pilgrimage, Manikaran houses many ancient Hindi temples and Sikh Gurudwaras.

Places to visit in Manikaran-

Hot Springs:-
Visit the well-known hot springs in Manikaran located on the banks of river Parvati. Being hot, these springs are said to be radio-active. Just put small amounts of pulses, rice of vegetable in these springs for few minutes and you’ll be surprised to see them cooked thoroughly.

Temple of Lord Shiva:-
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Temple of Lord Shiva is a prominent tourist attraction. According to local beliefs, Gods of Kullu district visit Lord Shiva here on specific dates, making it really special to visit on your trip.

Harinder Mountain & Parvati river:-
Harinder is a name of the mountain that is located on the bank of River Parvati. It is said that merely a look at this mountain can make you free of evils.

Sri Guru Nanak Devji Gurudwara:-
Gurudwara Nanak Devji is one of the holiest and ancient pilgrimages in Manikaran located at the height of 6,000 feet above sea level.  Participate in the langer ceremonies held regularly and get the aura of the place to seek ultimate peace and relaxation here. Lord Ramachandra Temple:-
Built by the Raja Jagat Singh in the 17th Century, the temple is dedicated to Lord Rama.

How to Reach

Train:
You can board a train from Jogindernagar railway station, nearest railhead to Manali that connects the hill station with several important cities of the country.

Road: 
Kullu has well-developed roadways that connects the region from rest of Himachal Pradesh. Hire a cab/taxi for a hassle-free journey.

Air:
You can take up an inward flight from the nearest Bhuntar Airport which is about 50 kms away from Manali.
