Being an artificial lake, Chamera Lake is mainly surrounded by lush green trees and extraordinary valleys. You can enjoy water sports like boating and fishing here. However it is a part of Chamera Hydroelectric project that is built over the Ravi River. Located at height of 763 meters above the sea, Chamera Lake can be accessed from Chamba district, which is only 25 to 35 km from the main market of Dalhousie.

Regular flight services are conducted from Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport which is only 74 kms away from Chamba.
By Rail:
Rishikesh is the closest railhead to Chamba district which is about 60 kms away. Catch your train for preferred location from Rishikesh railway station in Uttarakand.
By Road:
You can reach to Chamba from most of the cities of Uttarakhand and many popular northern cities of North India. Get taxis, cabs and state buses from Mussoorie, Dehradun, Devprayag, Haridwar, Tehri, Sirinagar and Uttarkashi.
