Located about 12 kms away from Kaza, Kee Monastery is an ancient gompas has a web of corridors and rooms that houses precious Thangkas while offering a scenic natural pleasure of the nearby region. With an altitude of 4,166 mts above sea level, the monastery is a picturesque hilltop for catching unseen sights. Its proximity to the river Spiti makes it, a really desirable location in the district. According to local legends, the monastery is about thousand years old and largest in the region, acting a strong pillar of the Tibetan culture and history.
